Abstrakt:
Článok sa zaoberá problematikou terorizmu ako jednej z najvážnejších bezpečnostných hrozieb súčasnosti. V úvode definuje terorizmus a analyzuje jeho hlavné charakteristiky, ako sú úmyselné zastrašovanie verejnosti, politická či ideologická motivácia a použitie násilia. Následne klasifikuje rôzne typy terorizmu vrátane náboženského, politického, ideologického, environmentálneho a kybernetického. Osobitná pozornosť je venovaná opatreniam prijímaným proti terorizmu na Slovensku, kde kľúčovú úlohu zohrávajú Policajný zbor, Slovenská informačná služba, Vojenské spravodajstvo a Národný bezpečnostný úrad. Článok tiež zdôrazňuje význam medzinárodnej spolupráce, najmä prostredníctvom Europolu a Interpolu, pri prevencii a potláčaní terorizmu. V závere poukazuje na potrebu modernizácie bezpečnostných zložiek, využívania nových technológií a posilňovania cezhraničnej spolupráce s cieľom efektívnejšieho boja proti teroristickým hrozbám.
Abstract:
The article deals with the issue of terrorism as one of the most serious security threats of our time. In the introduction, it defines terrorism and analyses its main characteristics, such as deliberate intimidation of the public, political or ideological motivation and the use of violence. It then classifies various types of terrorism, including religious, political, ideological, environmental and cyber. Special attention is paid to the measures taken against terrorism in Slovakia, where the Police Force, the Slovak Information Service, Military Intelligence and the National Security Office play a key role. The article also emphasizes the importance of international cooperation, especially through Europol and Interpol, in preventing and suppressing terrorism. The conclusion points to the need to modernize security forces, use new technologies and strengthen cross-border cooperation in order to combat terrorist threats more effectively.
